The center is both the cause and the product of the sign. It is a locus of attention and imperative exchange. It is an agency (that human agency is modeled on) that can issue imperatives and of which requests an be made.
Origin
The center is the agency on the originary scene that prohibits the hominids on the periphery from appropriating the central object. The originary sign is an ostensive sign that designates this center.
